Orange Turkish Delight recipe No gelatin (Lokum)

Ingredients
  • 240 milliliters orange juice (240g/1 Cup)
  • 100 grams Sugar (1/2 Cup)
  • 1 tablespoon Orange zest
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • 50 grams Cornstarch (1/3 Cup + 1Tbsp)
  • 10 grams Butter
Instructions
  1. In a non-sticky saucepan, pour 240g/240ml (1 Cup) orange juice
  2. Add 100g Sugar (1/2 Cup)
  3. 1 Tbsp Orange zest
  4. Add a Pinch of salt
  5. Mix well
  6. Add 50g Cornstarch (1/3 Cup + 1Tbsp )
  7. Mix well and dissolve the cornstarch
  8. Cook over low heat, stirring continuously
  9. 10g Butter
  10. Cook until the mixture no longer sticks to the pan
  11. Leave to cool for a few hours
  12. Grease a knife with oil and cut the candies into squares
  13. Sprinkle the squares with sugar
